Biometric consent
The free, specific and informed consent a person gives before biometric data such as their face is processed.
Under KVKK, Turkey's data protection law, biometric data is special category personal data and as a rule is processed with explicit consent. Consent has to be informed, tied to a specific purpose and possible to withdraw.
In Superevent attendees see the privacy notice and give explicit consent before face matching. Consent is recorded on the server with the text version, time and IP address. No face data is created without a consent record, and attendees withdraw by deleting their face data. This is general information, not legal advice.
