Art-Net and sACN
Two widely used protocols that carry a lighting desk's DMX channels over an Ethernet network.
Art-Net and sACN (E1.31) carry the DMX512 data used in stage lighting over a network. The lighting desk writes values to the channels of a universe, and devices on the network read their own channels.
Superevent CrowdLight's controller reads 8 channels in one universe as a single fixture: scene, intensity, red, green, blue, parameter, flags and zone. The lighting operator can then run the crowd light show from the same desk as the other lights. If the panel and the desk are used at the same time, the last one to write wins, and the panel shows when the desk is in control.
